Golf Courses -- Myrtle Beach Sc
Myrtle Beach is a popular tourist destination in South Carolina, for many reasons. The beautiful beaches, fun amusements, fine dining and great shopping are only a few attractions. Another reason people from all over flock to this sunny paradise is the golf. Golf courses Myrtle Beach Sc are loved by golfers from around the world, many of whom travel to this area just to play golf! And not just the amateurs, either -- the pros have enjoyed and even designed some of the courses here. It is truly a golfer's paradise, with more than 100 golf courses available. Here are a few of the best:
Barefoot Resort and Golf: At this stunning resort, you will find not one but four great golf courses. The Norman Course was designed by Greg Norman and features natural, sloping lines and makes use of the native landscape. This course is a par 72. The Love Course is also a par 72 and was designed by Davis Love III. Along the third to seventh holes, you'll find ruins of a recreated plantation, which is a beautiful and fun twist. The Fazio Course, a par 71, is located in the heart of Barefoot Resort and is designed with the beauty of the scenery in mind. Finally there's the Dye Course, designed by Pete Dye. This par 72 course is spacious and beautiful, offering an enjoyable challenge for all skill levels.
Crow Creek: This public course features traditional links on the front nine, while the back nine weaves through a forest for a taste of the wilderness. On Hole 8, you'll find an old fashioned fisherman's shack. This artfully designed course is one of the most popular in Myrtle Beach. Open since 2000, this par 72 course was designed by Rick Robins and is appropriate for all golfers. Crow Creek was shut down briefly due to vandals last year, but has since reopened for the public to enjoy.
Ocean Ridge Plantation: Rounding out our review of the top golf courses Myrtle Beach Sc is Ocean Ridge. This resort features five incredible courses named after big cats. You can choose between Lion's Paw, Panther's Run, Tigers Eye, Leopard's Chase and Jaguar's Lair. Any one of these spectacular courses will be a delight for golfers from beginner to advanced. Whether you like something easy or want a real challenge, you'll find the perfect course here. Ocean Ridge also boasts a golf academy and pro shop to meet all your golfing needs. While it's only one of many resorts in the area offering fantastic golf courses, it certainly ranks as one of the finest!
